Why - Our Participation
Short films and music videos are the best formats for directors to develop and showcase their filmmaking identity. Shorter lengths challenge directors to create compact, innovative ways of storytelling that still resonate with their persona and style. These days, content moves faster than ever, so this challenge is hyper-relevant. De Ontmoeting helps directors establish themselves by offering a platform and direct route into the Dutch film funding system. Artillerie's always kept a focus on relationships with fellow craft-obsessed talents, locally and abroad, so teaming up with De Ontmoeting to connect with creatives just comes naturally.

What - The Projects
We are looking for projects that align themselves closely with the identity of their director, and that will help them take the next step. We'd love to see a director tell stories relevant to their own time and place, and ideas that demonstrate creative potential. An international appeal and a strong connection with music would be the cherry on top. We're excited to begin sorting through the ideas and start our supportive collaboration with De Ontmoeting.
